Panthers looking ahead to 2016-17
PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The leaves are beginning to turn colors in central New Hampshire, but Plymouth State University coaches and student-athletes are already gearing up for the 2016-17 winter sports campaigns.
The 10 Panther winter sports schedules are now available online. The men's and women's ice hockey teams will open the winter slate with games the last weekend in October in New York, the men traveling to Utica College on Oct. 29 and the women visiting Buffalo State University for two games on Oct. 28-29. The women's swimming & diving season gets underway at the annual Louise Goodrum Invitational at UMass Dartmouth on Saturday, Nov. 5.
The Panther men's and women's basketball teams will play their season-opening games on Tuesday, Nov. 15, against Rivier University in the annual Boys & Girls Club Classic in Concord, N.H., hosted by NHTI. The Panther wrestlers hit the mat for the first time at the annual Doug Parker Invitational at Springfield College on Saturday, Nov. 19.
The PSU men's and women's indoor track & field squads make their debuts on Saturday, Dec. 3 at the UMass Boston Open; and the men's and women's alpine ski teams will compete in their first collegiate races at the St. Lawrence Carnival on Jan. 20-21, 2017.
