Panthers to celebrate local scouts at upcoming games

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Plymouth State University men's and women's ice hockey teams will hold special Scouts' Day events at separate home games this month.

The women's ice hockey team will hold its event on Tuesday, Jan. 8 (6:00 p.m.) during its non-conference contest with Trinity College, while the men's ice hockey team welcomes scouts to its clash with Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) rival Salem State University on Thursday, Jan. 17 (6:00 p.m.).

All Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts in uniform will receive free admission to the games. Scouts are invited to form a "high five tunnel" to welcome the teams onto the ice and will have an opportunity to interact with players and coaches in a special meet and greet and autograph session in the teams' locker rooms following the games.

No preregistration for the event is necessary. Any scouts wishing to participate should plan to meet in front of the skate rental shop in the lower lobby of Hanaway Rink at 5:30 p.m. All scouts should already have their game tickets.

Scouts in uniform will be admitted free of charge. Admission for children 12 and under is $3 and standard adult tickets are $5. All tickets go on sale one hour before game time.
