Physical Education Center (P.E. Center)

The Physical Education Center (PE Center) is the primary facility for the PSU Athletic Department. Opened in 1969, the building includes department offices, a 2,000 seat gymnasium; a six-lane, 25-yard swimming pool; indoor field house with four tennis courts; a wrestling room, The Vailas Performance Center fitness facility, and the Athletic Training and rehabilitation facility. The P.E. Center is surrounded by over 33 acres of playing fields for the athletic teams and an additional 12 acres used by the Intramural/Recreation Department.
Anyone using the P.E. Center facilities must have either a student or faculty ID or a facility pass

Athletic Facilities in and around the PE Center:

Facility passes (are available on a three-month basis and can be purchased in the main office of the P.E. Center (Monday thru Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. or by appt.). Passes are $75 per person for three months, or $125 for a family pass. All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a card carrying adult. The pass allows owners to use the recreational facilities at the P.E. Center whenever they are open to the students. This includes the racquetball courts, indoor tennis courts and walking track, the Vailas Performance Center, three basketball courts and a six-lane, 25-yard swimming pool.
