PSC/Colby-Sawyer game wiped out
PLYMOUTH, N.H. - The inclement weather in the Granite State has wiped out two Plymouth State College home athletic events scheduled for Sunday (Apr. 28).
The Panther baseball and women's lacrosse teams were both slated to host Colby-Sawyer College in non-conference games Sunday, the baseball squad in a doubleheader at Panther Park and the lax team in the regular season finale at Arold Field. Being so close to the end of the season, the games will not be made up.
The PSC women's lacrosse team finishes the regular season at 11-2 overall and in first place (6-0) in the inaugural Little East Conference campaign. The Panthers receive a bye in the first round of the LEC play-offs Tuesday, and will host the LEC Tournament semifinals and championship game this Friday and Saturday (May 3-4) at Arold Field.
The baseball team, 14-17-1 overall and 3-8-1 in LEC play, has one week remaining in the regular season, and will play a pair of doubleheaders on the road to finish things up. There's a non-conference twinbill Wednesday at Lyndon State and a conference set Saturday at UMass Boston. The games against the Beacons will determine if PSC makes the LEC play-offs, which begin Tuesday, May 7.
