Krajewski recognized for strong season by D3Baseball.com

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – A junior captain on the Plymouth State University baseball team received another post-season honor this week when the popular website D3baseball.com announced its NCAA All-Region Teams.

Junior designated hitter Jarek Krajewski (Cranston, R.I./Bishop Hendricken) was named to the All-New England Region First Team, one of the eight regions in Division III baseball. Krajewski was also named a 2016 Little East Conference First Team selection last week.

A 6'2" veteran DH and first baseman, Krajewski led the Panthers with a .384 batting average and 58 hits, including a school-record tying 17 doubles (equaling the mark set by Todd Steffanides in 1999). He had an 11-game hitting streak in March that included seven multi-hit games, and he collected five hits in a win over Edgewood (Wisc.) and four hits in a victory over Daniel Webster College. Krajewski ranks third in the LEC in doubles, fourth in hits and batting average, and fifth in on-base percentage (.451).

Plymouth State finished the season with a 20-22 overall record and a 7-7 mark in the Little East under first-year head coach Clay Jenkins.

The complete All-Region Teams are available at D3baseball.com.
