Erin Boylan is in her fourth season at Plymouth State in 2012-13 as head competitive cheer coach. She joined the Panther staff in 2009 after successful coaching stints at Bishop Brady High School in Concord, N.H., and Manchester (N.H.) West High School.
Boylan has been instrumental in PSU’s move from a varsity sideline cheerleading program to a competitive cheer team.
A former cheerleader and 2002 graduate of Elmira College in New York, Boylan earned a Masters degree in Sports Administration from Southern New Hampshire University. She was the head spirit coach at Bishop Brady from 2002-08, and followed by a years in the same position at Manchester West.
In her years as Bishop Brady, the spirit team never finished below sixth place at a state competition, including a runner-up finish in 2007 when the team also won the Class I Sportsmanship Award. Boylan led a unit that was named Top Team at a National Cheerleading Association Summer Camp and also received a bid to compete at the NCA National High School Championship in Dallas Texas. Boylan had 37 athletes nominated for NCA All-Americans with 11 being selected.
In addition to being a member of the N.H. Coaches Association, Boylan is also certified by the American Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Advisors (AACCA) and the American Sports Education Program (ASEP) Coaching Principals.
