Academic honors for five Panthers

PLYMOUTH, N.H. - Five members of the Plymouth State College football team have been recognized for their success in the classroom as well as on the gridiron.

The five Panthers - seniors Mike Bicchieri (Londonderry, N.H.), Jon Rich (Londonderry, N.H.), and Chris Holton (Bellows Falls, Vt.), junior Eric Lawless (Plymouth, Mass.) and sophomore Justin Powers (Rochester, N.H.) - were among the 69 student-athletes from seven institutions named to the Freedom Football Conference All-Academic Team.

To be eligible, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore, have at least a 3.0 grade point average, and play a significant role on the football team.

Bicchieri is a senior running back majoring in Physical Education, and Rich is a senior defensive tackle majoring in Health Education. Holton is a senior wide receiver and a Marketing major. Lawless, a junior defensive tackle, and Powers, a sophomore offensive lineman, are undecided majors.
