PLYMOUTH, N.H. - Junior quarterback Ryan Sylvia (Marion, Mass.) rushed seven times for 109 yards and four touchdowns Saturday afternoon to lead Springfield College to a 62-0 Freedom Football Conference victory over Plymouth State University in the Homecoming game at Currier Field.

Sylvia also completed his only pass of the day for a 45-yard touchdown as the Pride rolled up a 27-0 first quarter lead. Junior QB Michael Judge (Chatham, N.J.) added a pair of second-quarter TD runs as the Pride took a 41-0 lead by halftime.

The outcome gives Springfield a 7-0 overall record and a 4-0 FFC mark, while Plymouth State drops to 0-6 and 0-4. The Pride entered the game ranked No. 1 in New England and No. 8 in the nation in Division III.

The Pride scored touchdowns on their first six possessions and never looked back. The visitors finished with a 478-79 advantage in total offense. Junior Kevin Domurat (Forestdale, Mass.) joined Sylvia in the 100-yard rushing department for Springfield, finishing with 100 yards on six carries.

Freshman Michael Belt (Woburn, Mass.) and sophomore Andre Clayton (Manchester, Conn.) rounded out the scoring for the pride, Belt returning a Panther fumble 37 yards for a score and Clayton finding the end zone with six minutes remaining.

Springfield returns home to host WPI in a Freedom Conference game next Saturday, while Plymouth State will visit non-conference Bentley College.
