PSU Football player named to Division II/III All-New England Team
PLYMOUTH, N.H. - The top running back on the Plymouth State University football team has been honored for his performance during the 2007 season with his selection to the New England Football Writers Division II/III All-New England Team.
Senior running back Jeff Mack (Milford, N.H./Milford) was voted All-New England by the Football Writers group. The All-Star Team includes 28 players from 19 different New England teams in Divisions II and III. Mack is one of nine selections from the New England Football Conference.

team, along with sophomores Jarom Freeman of Southern Connecticut
State University and Marlon Thornton of Fitchburg State College.
A 5'11", 208-pound back, Mack finished second in the NEFC in rushing with 1,171 yards on 213 carries (5.5 avg.), and fourth in the league in scoring with 12 touchdowns. He was named to the NEFC weekly honor roll four times this season, and became just the ninth back in school history to rush for over 1,000 yards in a season.
Mack, who has a year of eligibility remaining, has also moved up to sixth on PSU's career rushing list with 1,983 yards on 397 carries (5.0 avg.) with 21 touchdowns.
The Panthers, who completed the regular season at 8-1 overall, are hosting Bridgewater State College (6-3) this Saturday in the ECAC North Atlantic Bowl at Currier Field (12:00 p.m.)
Bentley College leads the All-New England team with three selections. NCAA Division II Championship tournament participant and Northeast -10 champion Bryant University, NEFC champion Curry College, Merrimack College, NEFC runner-up Coast Guard Academy, Trinity College, Southern Connecticut, and Westfield State College each placed two players on the team. Also placing players on the squad were American International College, Assumption College, Endicott College, Fitchburg State College, Husson College, Middlebury College, Plymouth State, Springfield College, Western Connecticut State University, Williams College, and WPI.
The Division II Northeast 10 had 11 players selected while from Division III the New England Football Conference had nine selections. The New England Small College Athletic Conference had four representatives.
