NEFC All-Academic Team includes 24 PSU football players
Panthers recognized for work in classroom
PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The New England Football
Conference Academic All-Conference team for 2010 has been
announced, and the list includes 24 student-athletes from the
Plymouth State University football team.
To qualify for the All-Academic team, a student-athlete must have completed three semesters at an institution and maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.0. The All-Academic team is released following the most recent semester, which included the football season.
The 24 honorees are the second-most among the 16 NEFC schools, behind only MIT (28).
There are 11 Panthers who were named to the All-Academic Team for the second straight year, and six PSU seniors were honored for the third year in a row – Nick Fuccillo (East Falmouth, Mass.), Dan Kelly (Londonderry, N.H.), Matt MacLean (Abington, Mass.), Zach Parsons (Florence, Mass.), Alex Sobolov (Goffstown, N.H.), and Kevin Whalen (Wallingford, Conn.).
