Two PSU Football players recognized by NEFC
Foglia, Lussier honored after win vs. Castleton
PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Two members of the Plymouth State University football team were honored by the New England Football Conference Monday for their performances in last Saturday's season-opening 28-20 victory over Castleton State College.
Junior running back Andrew Foglia and senior cornerback Derek Lussier represented Plymouth State on the NEFC Weekly Honor Roll. Both Panthers capitalized on making their first career starts on Saturday, helping PSU to its second straight season-opening win over Castleton.

A 6'1", 210-pound tail back, Foglia rushed for 151 yards on 18 carries (8.4 average) and two touchdowns. He scored on a 10-yard run on PSU's first possession to give the Panthers a 7-0 lead, had a 43-yard burst that set up PSU's second touchdown, and his second TD put his team ahead 21-7 early in the second quarter. Foglia also returned a kickoff 12 yards for 163 all-purpose yards.
A 6'0", 184-pound corner, Lussier led the Panther defense with 10 total tackles, including eight solo stops. The senior defensive back also recorded a pass breakup as PSU limited Castleton to just 282 yards of offense.
The Panthers, 1-0, continue non-conference action this Saturday with a visit to Mount Ida College in Newton, Mass., for a 1:00 p.m. kick-off.
