Keene named Player of the Week; Foglia repeats on Honor Roll
PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Two members of the Plymouth State University football team were honored by the New England Football Conference this week for their performances in last Saturday's 19-13 victory over Mount Ida College.
Senior linebacker Nicolas Keene was named NEFC Defensive Player of the Week, and junior running back Andrew Foglia made his second straight appearance on the NEFC Weekly Honor Roll. They were the key figures that helped PSU down the Mustangs and improve to 2-0 on the season.

A 6'2", 23-pound linebacker, Keene made 13 total tackles (all solo.) and added a sack (-11 yards) in the victory. Among his tackles was a stop on a Mount Ida fourth-and-goal from the PSU two-yard line in the fourth quarter. The PSU defense held the Mustangs to 251 yards and just 2-of-12 on third down conversions.
A 6'1", 210-pound tailback, Foglia rushed for 105 yards on 11 carries (9.5 avg.) and one touchdown. He scored on a 62-yard burst early in the second quarter to put PSU up 19-0. He also caught one pass for 11 yards. Foglia has back-to-back 100 yard games in his first two career starts this season.
The Panthers are back at Currier Field this Saturday, hosting Bridgewater State University in the NEFC crossover game at 1:00 p.m.
