PSU Football player returns to NEFC Honor Roll
Foglia honored for fifth time this season
PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The leading rusher on the Plymouth State University football team was honored by the New England Football Conference Monday for his performance in last Saturday's 38-14 season-ending loss at Curry College.
Junior running back Andrew Foglia (Montauk, N.Y./East Hampton) represented Plymouth State on the NEFC Weekly Honor Roll. It's the fifth time in 10 weeks this season that Foglia made the NEFC Honor Roll, all following 100-yard rushing performances.
A 6'1", 210-pound tail back and first-year starter, Foglia rushed for a career-high 169 yards on 25 carries (6.8 avg.), including a 45-yard run to set up PSU's first score and a 59-yard burst on the next PSU possession. He finished the season as PSU's leading rusher and ranked eighth in the NEFC with 815 yards and six touchdowns, and he also caught five passes for 39 yards and a TD.
The Panthers had a streak of four straight winning seasons snapped this year, finishing the season with a 4-6 overall record and a 2-5 mark in the NEFC Boyd Division.
