NEFC All-Academic Team includes 17 PSU football players
Panthers recognized for work in classroom
PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The New England Football
Conference Academic All-Conference team for 2012 has been
announced, and the list includes 17 student-athletes from the
Plymouth State University football team.
To qualify for the All-Academic team, a student-athlete must have completed three semesters at an institution and maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.0. The All-Academic team is released following the fall semester, which included the football season.
There are seven Panthers who were named to the All-Academic Team for the second straight year, and three PSU seniors were honored for the third year in a row – DL Matt Fiore (Merrimac, Mass./Pentucket), RB Dustin Matthews (Eliot, Maine/Marshwood) and OL Mike Miller (North Andover, Mass.).
