The Panthers improved to 6-1 on the year and 4-1 in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) after Saturday's overtime thriller against Framingham. With the win PSU moved into sole possession of first place in the MASCAC, as the team holds a half-game lead over Framingham (5-1, 3-1 MASCAC) and Western Connecticut (5-1, 3-1 MASCAC).

Plymouth State will look to continue its winning ways this Saturday (Oct. 21) when they travel to Massachusetts Maritime Academy for a 1:00 p.m. MASCAC contest. The Panthers return home on Oct. 28 for a Senior Day game with MASCAC foe Westfield State.

The New England Division III Football Poll is presented by the Jack Grinold Eastern Massachusetts Chapter of the National Football Foundation, which also serves as the title sponsor of the weekly Gold Helmet Awards presented by the New England Football Writers Association throughout the season.
