Hamilton, Martin selected to Weekly Honor Roll

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Two members of the Plymouth State University football program have been honored by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) following the release of the league's latest weekly report.

Junior running back David Hamilton (West Deptford, N.J.) and sophomore kicker Jeremy Martin (Charlton, Mass.) were selected to the MASCAC Football Weekly Honor Roll after their play in Saturday's 21-16 setback at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

Hamilton continued a strong start to the season with yet another 100-yard rushing game after churning out 106 yards on 20 carries (5.3 avg) and adding a touchdown. He opened the game with a 45-yard gain on the Panthers' first play from scrimmage, and also contributed one catch for 11 yards. Hamilton has now topped the century mark in each of Plymouth State's three games and has picked up Weekly Honor Roll recognition three times.

Martin had a big day for the Panthers, amassing 182 kickoff yards to average 60.7 yards per kickoff. He added 247 yards on six punts (41.2 avg), including one inside the 20. He was perfect in the kicking game, drilling a 22-yard field goal while hitting on his lone PAT attempt. This is Martin's second appearance on the Weekly Honor Roll.

Plymouth State (1-2) now turns its attention to Worcester State as the Panthers welcome the Lancers to Currier Field for a Homecoming match-up on Saturday (Sept. 29). Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
