Jim Coll starts his first season as a member of the Plymouth State football staff as the cornerbacks coach.
Coll joined the staff in the summer of 2018 after spending 16 years as a member of the Merrimack Valley football coaching staff. Coll spent two years as an assistant with the middle school team from 2002-03, before joining the high school staff in 2004 as an assistant, a position he held until 2010.
In 2011 he was promoted to defensive coordinator, then in 2014 he took over as the head coach.
Coll also spent nine years coaching lacrosse at Merrimack Valley, working as the head jayvee coach and varsity assistant from 2009-17, as well as spending two years working with the throwers as part of the school's track & field coaching staff.
Coll got his education at Manhattan College and College of Mt. St. Vincent, earning a degree in Environmental Engineering.
