Zach Parsons is in his seventh season as an assistant for the Panthers in 2018. He has spent the last four years as the Offensive Coordinator and Running Backs Coach.
Prior to that Parsons also spent two seasons coaching the defensive backs and one year with the wide receivers.
Parsons was a four-year starting defensive back for the Panthers from 2007-10, serving as a captain during his senior year. The three-time All-New England Football Conference (NEFC) honoree earned First Team recognition in 2009 and was selected for the NEFC All-Academic Team three times. He was also chosen as a member of the National Football Foundation Academic Honor Roll.
Parsons appeared in 43 games for the Panthers, finishing in the top three on the team in tackles every year from 2008-10. As a sophomore he made 52 tackles (38 solo) and came down with four interceptions and made four pass breakups while also recovering a pair of fumbles. During his junior campaign Parsons was the team's leading tackler with 78 (53 solo), and added an interception, forced fumble and two pass breakups. As a senior he added another 62 tackles (39 solo), three interceptions, two pass breakups and two forced fumbles.
After graduating from Plymouth State in 2011, Parsons began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Northampton (Mass.) High School.
