PSU Field Hockey sinks Salem State

SALEM, Mass. - Junior Amanda Gutowski (Conway, N.H.) scored three goals and senior goalie Kerry Brady (Jefferson, N.H.) stopped three shots Tuesday to lead the Plymouth State University field hockey team to a 5-0 victory over Salem State in a Little East Conference game at Alumni Field.

Gutowski, who has five goals in PSU's last three games, scored once in the opening half and twice in the second to help the Panthers improve their record to 5-4 overall and 4-1in the LEC. Salem State dropped to 2-7 overall and 2-3 in conference play.

Sophomore Lilly Silva (Lowell, Mass.) and junior Caitlin Moran (Rowley, Mass.) also scored for Plymouth State. The Panther defense recorded its third shutout of the season.

Sophomore Meaghan Oskirko made 10 saves for the Vikings.

The Panthers return to Plymouth for four straight home games, beginning Saturday at 2:00 p.m. with a Little East clash against Bridgewater State.
