Keene State too much for PSU Field Hockey

KEENE, N.H. -Senior Amanda Rosenbeck (Wilder, Vt.) netted two goals and added an assist Wednesday evening to lead Keene State College to a 5-0 shutout victory over rival Plymouth State University in Little East Conference field hockey action at Owl Athletic Complex.

Keene State, 6-3 overall, remains tied with Worcester State as the only unbeaten teams in the LEC, both teams at 4-0 in conference play. PSU suffered its third straight loss and dipped to 3-4 overall and 1-3 in Little East games.

The Owls jumped out to a 3-0 halftime lead on goals by Amy Dubois (Jefferson, N.H.), Steph Georgevits (Concord, N.H.), and Rosenbeck. Alyssa Rowell (Queensbury, NY) and Rosenbeck added second half goals. Rosenbeck's two goals give her a team-leading eight on the season.

Sara Joyce (Hampstead, NH) finished with 10 saves to notch her fourth shutout of the season. Junior keepers Katie Randall (Portsmouth, N.H.) and Leah Curtin (Londonderry, N.H.) made one save each in the Panther goal.

Both teams return to action on Saturday; the Owls will play at Eastern Connecticut while PSU will host Western Connecticut in the Homecoming game at Arold Field (12:00 p.m.)
