PSU Field Hockey student-athletes earn academic honors

Eight Panthers recognized nationally for classroom work

            PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Eight members of the Plymouth State University field hockey team have been recognized with national academic honors from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA).

            Eight Panthers were named to the Gladiator by SGI / NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad, which recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.30 through the first semester of the 2013-14 academic year. In addition, freshman Kendal Lariviere (Dover, N.H./Dover) was named a NFHCA Division III Scholar of Distinction, which recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.90 or higher through the first semester of the 2013-14 academic year.

            The eight student-athletes representing Plymouth State on the National Academic Squad are senior Aisha Rai Thompson (Berlin, N.H.), juniors Sam Carberry (Shrewsbury, Pa./Susquehannock) and Emily Davis (Boscawen, N.H./Merrimack Valley), sophomore Allison Dorey (Bristol, N.H./Newfound), and freshmen Madison Beatrice (Newton, Mass./Newton North), Nicole Burgess (Mexico, Maine/Mountain Valley), Kendal Lariviere (Dover, N.H./Dover), and Jordan Ray (Standish, Maine/Bonny Eagle).
