Katie Kovacs joins the Plymouth State field hockey program for her first season as an assistant coach in 2017.

Kovacs played for the Panthers from 2003-05 after spending her freshman year at Greensboro (N.C.) College. She helped PSU to ECAC Tournament appearances in each of her three years at Plymouth, including the program’s second ECAC Championship in 2004. The 2004 squad finished with an 18-4 mark, setting the program standard for wins in a season, a mark that still stands. She earned both the Coaches Award and Homecoming MVP in 2005.

Kovacs spent the last two seasons as the head coach at White Mountains Regional High School, and has previous coaching experience at Plymouth Regional High School. She has also served as a field hockey official at the high school level.

Kovacs earned her undergraduate degree in 2006, majoring in Professional Communications with a minor in Art, and completed her Master’s of Education in Special Education K-12 Certification from PSU in 2011.
