ECAC All-New England Honors for PSC Men's Hoop player
PLYMOUTH, N.H. - The point guard on the Plymouth State College men's basketball team has been selected to the ECAC Division III New England All-Star First Team.
Junior Adam DeChristopher (Brockton, MA) was named to the First Team Backcourt by the ECAC. He was also the ECAC New England Player of the Week twice this season, and was chosen to the ECAC Weekly Honor Roll two other times.
The honor follows a number of other annual accolades DeChristopher has received this season. He was the Little East Conference and N.H. Coaches Association Player of the Year, and earned First Team All-Star honors by both organizations.
A 6'1" guard, DeChristopher averaged 19.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.4 steals per game for the Panthers this season. He shot 37.4 percent from three-point range, connecting on 70-of-187 attempts from beyond the arc, and averaged 81.0 percent from the free throw line, hitting 141-of-174 tries from the charity stripe.
DeChristopher was instrumental in PSC earning a share of the Little East regular season title as the Panthers went 12-2 in conference games. He helped lead Plymouth State to its third straight post-season berth, but PSC was upended in the opening round of the ECAC Tournament at Colby-Sawyer and finished with a 19-8 overall record.
