PLYMOUTH, N.H. - The leading scorer on the Plymouth State College men's basketball team has been selected Little East Conference Player of the Week for the second consecutive week.
Sophomore Nick Pelotte (Bingham, Maine) was received the LEC's top weekly honor Monday after getting the same recognition a week ago. He was honored this week for his career-high performance in last Tuesday's non-conference win over Johnson State.
A 5'10" guard, Pelotte established a career-high in points for the second time in three outings, erupting for 34 points in just 22 minutes against the Badgers. He connected on 14-of-19 from the field (.737), including 6-of-8 from three-point range, while adding team-highs of six rebounds, four assists and four steals. Pelotte, who had 20 points in the first 10 minutes before finishing with 34, leads the conference in scoring with a 26.0 average.
Pelotte has helped the Panthers to a 3-0 start this season. PSC returns to action with three road games this week - Tuesday vs. Colby-Sawyer College at the Granite State Challenge (7:30 p.m.), hosted by New Hampshire Technical Institute, Thursday at Salem State (8:00 p.m.) and Saturday in the LEC opener at UMass Dartmouth (3:00 p.m.).
