PSU Basketball Player receives Little East Conference honor
PLYMOUTH, N.H. - The starting center on the Plymouth State University men's basketball team was honored Monday by being named to the Little East Conference Weekly Honor Roll, his second such selection this season.
Senior Kevin Boutilier (North Andover, Mass.) earned the weekly recognition Monday for his efforts in two Panther games last week. He received the same honor after the second week of January.
A four-year veteran in the Panther frontcourt, Boutilier leads the LEC in field goal percentage (57.6) and ranks ninth in scoring (14.2 points per game) and blocked shots (0.76 per game). He is also 13th in rebounds (5.8 per game) and 10th in free throw percentage (75.0) The Panther men, 13-8 overall, are tied for fourth place in the LEC with UMass Dartmouth, both teams at 5-5 in LEC play. PSU has four games remaining in the regular season, beginning Tuesday at Southern Maine (7:30 p.m.) The Panther women, 9-11 overall, are in fifth place in the LEC with a 4-6 mark. PSU begins its final four games Tuesday at Division III's top-ranked team - Southern Maine (5:30 p.m.)
