PSU Men’s Basketball player named to Little East Conference Honor Roll

PLYMOUTH, N.H. - One of the senior captains on the Plymouth State University men's basketball team was recognized by the Little East Conference Monday after his career-best performance in PSU's only game last week.

Senior Devin Ruocco (Dover, N.H.) was named to the LEC Men's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll for his efforts in PSU's 88-87 victory at Castleton State last Tuesday. He has been instrumental in helping the Panthers to a 3-0 start to the season.

A 6'4" forward, Ruocco (left) reached career highs Tuesday with seven three-point field goals and 29 points, while also collecting a team-high seven rebounds. He made 9-of-14 shots overall, including 7-of-10 from beyond the arc, and 4-of-5 free throw attempts. Ruocco took over the team scoring lead and ranks fifth in the LEC with an average of 17.3 points per game.

The Panthers return to action Tuesday in the annual Jacob's Bridge Through Autism Classic, hosted by New Hampshire Technical Institute in Concord. The Panthers will face Colby-Sawyer College at 7:30 p.m., following the Keene State-New England College match-up at 5:30 p.m.
