PLYMOUTH, N.H. – A New Hampshire man who is shooting free throws to raise money for charity will be the guest speaker this week at the Plymouth State University boys’ basketball camp.
Dave Cummings of Epsom, who is attempting to make one million foul shots over the next two to three years, will be shooting and lecturing to the campers at PSU this Wednesday, June 30th, at 11:00 a.m.
Cummings (PSU '93) is associated with Hoops for Heroes, a registered New Hampshire not-for-profit organization whose mission is to pay tribute to Veterans by providing financial support to those that have sacrificed for our nation, specifically by raising money for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.
Cummings began his free throw shooting journey on Veterans Day 2009, and in exchange he is asking for donations, which will be forwarded to the Fallen Heroes Fund. His first goal is to complete one million free throws by Veterans Day 2011 (11/11/11).
