One of the most accomplished men’s basketball student-athletes in Plymouth State history, Tony Martinez returns to campus as an assistant coach for the 2014-15 season. Martinez, a former power forward and First Team All-Little East Conference Selection, currently ranks fourth on the all-time scoring list at Plymouth State. He helped his teams to a 69-39 combined record leading them to four straight winning seasons, two LEC regular season co-championships and ECAC post-season berths in 1998 and 1999. He was inducted into the PSU Athletic Hall of Fame in 2013.
A native of Barnstead, New Hampshire and former all-state performer at Pittsfield High School, Martinez is expected to play an important role in player development, especially with the forwards.
Martinez also serves as the sales manager for Loudon Building Supply, Inc. He currently resides in Canterbury, N.H. with his wife Jodie (Plymouth State 00’) and two boys Keegan (7) and Evan (3).
