PLYMOUTH, N.H. - Two Plymouth State College hockey players were named to the ECAC Weekly Honor Roll for their contributions in two Panther games last week.
Junior forward Josh Perry (Falmouth, MA) and freshman forward Erik Nadeau (Waterville, ME) were both selected to the North/Central/South Honor Roll for the first time this season.
Perry had the best week of his season, scoring three goals and an assist in two games. He tallied two goals and one assist Tuesday in an 8-2 win at Roger Williams, and added another goal Saturday in a 5-3 loss at Curry. He has four goals and two assists this season, and career totals of 23 goals and 23 assists in 59 games.
Nadeau also turned in a four-point week for the Panthers. He scored a power play goal and added a pair of assists in the win at Roger Williams, and chipped in with an assist in the loss at Curry. Nadeau is the leading freshman scorer for PSC and fourth on the team with five goals and 10 assists in 15 games.
Plymouth State is in fifth place in the nine-team ECAC North Conference with a 4-5-1 league mark, and 4-10-1 overall under second-year coach Sal Leale. The Panthers still have sights set on making the ECAC North-Central-South playoffs, but need to go on a winning streak in the final month of the season.
PSC plays a pair of non-conference road games this week -- Tuesday (Jan. 27) at St. Michael's College (6:00 p.m.) and Saturday (Jan. 31) at Iona College (7:00 p.m.). The next home game is the following Saturday, Feb. 7, vs. Curry at Waterville Valley Ice Arena.
