PLYMOUTH, N.H. - A pair of Plymouth State College hockey players have been selected to the Eastern College Athletic Conference North-Central-South Weekly Honor Roll for their performances in a pair of games last week.
Sophomore Kevin Creighton (Falmouth, MA) and freshman Erik Nadeau (Waterville, ME) were PSC representatives on the ECAC Weekly Honor Roll. They were instrumental in PSC splitting a pair of ECAC North games last weekend.
A 5'8", 175-pound forward, Creighton registered a six-point week for PSC. He recorded a pair of assists in Saturday's 5-4 win over Curry College, and added three goals and an assist in Sunday's 7-5 loss at Johnson & Wales. He counted two power play goals Sunday in posting his first career hat trick, and took over the team scoring lead with 29 points (11 goals, 18 assists).
A 5'8", 185-pound forward, Nadeau also recorded a six-point week for the Panthers. He scored twice and assisted on two others in the win over Curry, and added a pair of assists in the Johnson & Wales loss. He is the leading freshman scorer for PSC and third-leading scorer on the team, connecting on 10 goals and 14 assists in 19 games.
Plymouth State defeated Suffolk University 5-4 in a non-conference game Tuesday night. PSC is in sixth place in the nine-team ECAC North Conference with a 5-6-1 league mark, and 7-12-1 overall under second-year coach Sal Leale. The Panthers still have sights set on finishing with a .500 record, with five games left on the schedule.
PSC plays a pair of conference games this weekend -- Friday (Feb. 13) against Salve Regina at Waterville Valley Ice Arena (7:00 p.m.) and Saturday (Feb. 14) at Nichols College (7:00 p.m.),
