PLYMOUTH, N.H. - One of the top freshmen on the Plymouth State University men's ice hockey team has been recognized by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) for his efforts in two Panther games last week.
Freshman Chris Chambers (Crofton, Md./DeMatha Catholic/Boston Harborwolves) was named to the ECAC Northeast Conference Weekly Honor Roll Tuesday after helping the Panthers to a 1-1 week. Chambers is off to an excellent start to the season and leads the team in scoring through the first five games.

He had one goal and two assists in Monday's 5-3 conference win at Stonehill, and he added one power play goal and one assist in PSU's 5-4 overtime loss Saturday to defending champion UMass Dartmouth.
Chambers leads the Panthers with seven points (three goals, four assists) in five games, including one power play goal.
Plymouth State, which lost on Tuesday evening to Castleton State, 3-2, to fall to 1-4-0 overall, returns to action this weekend at the Police Athletic League (PAL) Stovepipe Tournament in Manchester, N.H.
