MILTON, Mass. - Sophomore James Pentecost (Marquette, Mich.) recorded a hat trick Thursday evening to lead Curry College to a 6-3 victory over Plymouth State University in ECAC Northeast men's ice hockey action at Max D. Ulin Rink.

Curry won its fourth straight game to improve to 10-1-0 in the Northeast and 12-7-1 overall, while PSU fell to 6-3-0 in conference play and 7-11-1 overall. The Colonels also moved and into a tie for first place with UMass Dartmouth (10-0-0).

Junior defenseman Bobby Dashner (Hyde Park, Mass.) provided the highlights for the Panthers with a hand in all three goals, scoring twice and assisting on the third.

Freshman Ross Enmark (Shelby Township, Mich.) scored his league-leading 18th goal of the season on a Colonel power play midway through the first period, and despite a 19-2 advantage in shots on goal, Curry led only 1-0 after 20 minutes. It was still a 1-0 game midway through the middle frame, when Pentecost scored back-to-back goals just 24 seconds apart. Junior Eddie Chlanda (Central Islip, N.Y.) made it 4-0 with a power play goal at 15:42 before junior Chris Cadieux (Nashua, N.H.) answered with a power play goal a minute later to put the Panthers on the board.

Curry put the game away with the first two goals of the third period, with senior Bill McCreary (Howell, Mich.) scoring at 5:22 and Pentecost finishing off his hat trick at 9:37.
