PSU Mens Hockey player named to MASCAC Honor Roll
PLYMOUTH, N.H. - One of the freshmen on the
Plymouth State University men's ice hockey team was honored Monday
with selection to the Massachusetts State College Athletic
Conference (MASCAC) Weekly Honor Roll.
Freshman Alex Cottle (West Chester, Pa./Phila. Jr. Flyers) was named to the MASCAC Honor Roll after recording four points in a 2-0 week for the Panthers. He helped PSU knock off UMass Dartmouth, 6-5, in overtime Thursday in a MASCAC match-up and Franklin Pierce, 2-1, Saturday in a non-conference affair.
A 5'10, 170-pound forward, Cottle (right) scored a goal
and added two assists in the win over UMass Dartmouth, including an
assist on the goal that sent the game into overtime. He added
an assist on PSU's first goal in the second period Saturday in what
ended up as a one-goal win over Franklin Pierce. Cottle now has
three goals and five assists in eight games this season.
PSU, 10-6 overall, 6-3 in the MASCAC and riding a four-game winning streak, is home this Thursday to host Framingham State at 6:00 p.m. at Waterville Valley Arena.
