PSU Mens Hockey player named to MASCAC Honor Roll
PLYMOUTH, N.H. - One of the scoring leaders on the Plymouth State University men's ice hockey team was honored Monday with selection to the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Weekly Honor Roll.
Junior Sean Buckley (Sagamore Beach, Mass.) was named to the MASCAC Honor Roll after scoring three goals in a 1-1 week for the Panthers. He helped PSU to a 6-2 win over Framingham State on Wednesday before a 5-4 loss at MASCAC-leading Fitchburg State on Saturday.
A 5'11, 175-pound forward, Buckley (right) scored one goal in the win over Framingham State which ended up as the game-winner, and he added a pair of shorthanded goals in the third period against Fitchburg State, both on the same Falcon power play. Buckley upped his season totals to nine goals, 15 assists and 24 points in 18 games, which ranks him second on the team in assists and points and third in goals scored.
PSU, 11-7 overall and 7-4 in the MASCAC, is home this Thursday to host Westfield State at 6:00 p.m. at Waterville Valley Arena.
