PSU Men’s Hockey player named to Weekly Honor Roll
Stewart honored by MASCAC for second time this season
PLYMOUTH, N.H. – One of the leading scorers on the
Plymouth State University men’s ice hockey team was
recognized Monday by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic
Conference (MASCAC) for his performance in a pair of Panther
victories last week.
Senior Andrew Stewart (O’Leary, P.E.I.) was named to the MASCAC Weekly Honor Roll, his second selection this season. He helped the Panthers extend their unbeaten streak to 14 games (9-0-5), longest in the nation.

A 6’0”, 175-pound forward, Stewart led the Panthers to a 2-0-0 week with a pair of two-goal games and six total points (4-2-6). He scored the first two goals Thursday, including the game-winner, in PSU’s 4-1 win over UMass Dartmouth in a battle of first-place teams in the MASCAC, and he tallied two goals and two assists Saturday in PSU’s 7-2 non-conference win over Franklin Pierce.
Stewart increased his season totals to nine goals and eight assists for 17 points, second on the team in goals and tied for second in points.
Plymouth State, 10-1-5 overall and 5-1-3 in the MASCAC, plays a pair of MASAC games this week, traveling to Framingham State University on Thursday and hosting Fitchburg State University on Saturday.
