PSU Men’s Hockey player named to Weekly Honor Roll
Greco honored by MASCAC after game-winning goal
PLYMOUTH, N.H. – One of the leading scorers on the Plymouth State University men’s ice hockey team was recognized Monday by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) for his performance in a Panther overtime victory last week.
Sophomore Kyle Greco (Hillside, Ill./St. Louis Bandits) was named to the MASCAC Weekly Honor Roll. He has been a key figure for PSU this season after transferring from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. He was also a weekly honor roll selection earlier this season.
A 6’0”, 190-pound forward, Greco score the game-winning overtime goal last Saturday in PSU’s only game of the week, a 5-4 victory over Framingham State University. He also assisted on the game-tying goal for the Panthers in the second period.
Greco increased his season totals to 13 goals and 11 assists for 24 points in 19 games, tied for the team lead in points. He also has three game-winning goals this year, tied for second in the MASCAC.
Plymouth State, 14-4-5 overall and 9-4-3 in the MASCAC, plays a key MASCAC contest Thursday at Fitchburg State before wrapping up the regular season next Saturday at home against Westfield State. The MASCAC Tournament begins Tuesday, Mar. 1, with first-round pairings yet to be determined.
