MASCAC honor for PSU Men’s Hockey player
Astedt repeats as Goalie of the Week for Panthers
PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The starting goaltender on the Plymouth State University men's ice hockey team was recognized for the second straight week Monday with a top honor from the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC).
Junior Jack Astedt was named MASCAC Goalie of the Week for the second week in a row. He helped the Panthers to victories in their first two conference games last week, leading PSU to the top of the MASCAC standings.

A 6'1", 175-pound netminder, Astedt collected a pair of victories along with a 1.50 goals against average and a .949 saves percentage. He stopped 20 of 21 shots last Tuesday in a 4-1 victory over Westfield State University and made 36 saves Thursday in a 4-2 triumph over Framingham State University.
Astedt leads the MASCAC with a 1.50 goals against average and a .941 saves percentage on the young season. He also ranks third in the nation in Division III in goals against average and seventh in save percentage.
Plymouth State, 4-0-0 overall and 2-0-0 in the MASCAC, plays a tough non-conference game Tuesday at Castleton State College, which is ranked third in this week's Division III National poll by US College Hockey Online.
