PSU Men’s Hockey goalie earns MASCAC honor
Ingerson lands spot on Weekly Honor Roll
PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The back-up goaltender on the Plymouth State University men's ice hockey team was recognized Monday with weekly recognition from the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC).
Sophomore Tyler Ingerson was selected to the MASCAC Weekly Honor Roll for his efforts in a key Panther win last Saturday. Ingerson made the most of his second start of the season, earning a 4-0 shutout victory at conference rival Fitchburg State University.
A 5'10", 185-pound netminder, Ingerson stopped all 29 shots he faced Saturday against the Falcons. He helped PSU keep Fitchburg off the board on nine power play attempts, making 11 saves in the third period when PSU was forced to kill off five penalties, including a major.
Plymouth State, 10-6-2 overall and 7-3-2 in the MASCAC, returns to Hanaway Rink this week for home games against Westfield State University on Thursday and Framingham State University on Saturday.
