PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Plymouth State University men's ice hockey senior Michael Economos (Crystal Lake, Ill.) was awarded by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) with Player of the Week honors for his performances in a pair of conference wins last week.
The 6'1" forward had a big week for the Panthers, tallying six points on three goals and three assists. Economos scored a power play goal in a 4-2 win over Worcester State University on Thursday, and followed that up with two goals and three assists in PSU's 6-3 win over Westfield State University on Saturday.
The captain is now second on the team with seven goals and 11 points. Plymouth State currently stands 6-3-0 overall (5-1-0 MASCAC) and leads the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth by two points for the top spot in the MASCAC.
The Panthers wrap up the fall semester with two non-conference home games this week. PSU hosts the University of New England on Thursday, before partaking in a Teddy Bear Toss game against Castleton University on Saturday. Puck drop for both games is set for 6:00 p.m.
