Panthers to celebrate local Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Plymouth State University men's ice hockey team will hold a special Scouts Day this Thursday, Jan. 25, during its Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) game against Framingham State University.

All Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts in uniform will receive free admission to the game. Scouts will be invited to form a "high five tunnel," complete with glow sticks, to welcome the team onto the ice and a group of scouts will present the colors.

Following the game scouts will be able to interact with players and coaches in a meet and greet and autograph session. All scouts in attendance will also receive a commemorative patch.

No preregistration for the event is necessary. Any scouts wishing to participate should plan to meet in front of the skate rental shop in the lower lobby of Hanaway Rink at 5:30 p.m. All scouts should already have their game tickets.

Scouts in uniform will be admitted free of charge. Parents of scouts (two per scout) will receive a discounted rate of $3 per person. Admission for children 12 and under is $3 and standard adult tickets are $5.

Puck-drop for the game is set for 6:00 p.m.
