Covach picked for Team of the Week

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The leading scorer on the Plymouth State University men's ice hockey team picked up national recognition when announced its Team of the Week for the week ending Oct. 25.

Senior Michael Covach (Shillington, Pa.) was selected as one of three forwards to the team following a roaring start to the season. Covach led the Panthers with four points in a season opening 5-0 win over Johnson and Wales, tallying two goals and assisting on two others. It was the first four-point game of his career.

Each week Sports Information Directors from across the country submit week-long performances they've deemed worthy of consideration among the best in the nation. The staff reviews the nominees and selects an elite group made up of three forwards, two defensemen and one goaltender to serve as the Team of the Week.

PSU (2-0-0, 1-0-0 MASCAC) heads to NCAA Division II Stonehill College for a 5:10 p.m. contest on Saturday (Nov. 3).
