Pettersson named to Weekly Honor Roll

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Senior goaltender Andreas Pettersson (Trollhattan, Sweden) was among the student-athletes honored by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) on Monday after being named to the league's Weekly Honor Roll following his play in the Panthers' two games last week.

Pettersson totaled 25 saves while posting a .067 goals against average and .962 save percentage in a 1-0-1 week for the Panthers. He came on in relief during Thursday's 3-3 tie with Anna Maria, stopping all eight shots he faced over the final 25:22, then allowed just one goal while making 17 saves in a 7-1 win over Salem State.

Pettersson is currently ranked tenth in the nation with a .944 save percentage, and his 1.70 goals against average is 12th in the country. Both marks are tops among MASCAC goaltenders. He sports a 5-1-1 mark on the season.

Plymouth State (5-4-1, 5-1-0 MASCAC) is off until Jan. 3 when it hosts Trinity for a non-conference battle at Hanaway Rink at 6:00 p.m.
