Title: Assistant Coach

Nick Therrien of Rochester, N.H. is in his first year as an assistant men's ice hockey coach for PSU for the 2014-15 season.

Coach Therrien recently finished an illustrious career with Utica College that saw him collect 46 wins between the pipes with career numbers of .915 save percentage and 2.31 goals against average. He led his team to the NCAA National Tournament semifinals as a junior when he set a program record with 19 wins (4th in the nation amongst all Division 3 goalies).  Therrien is attending graduate school at PSU with a concentration in Athletic Administration with the goal of coaching his own program in the future.

"We are very pleased to add Nick to our staff,” said PSU head coach Craig Russell. “It's clear that his values as an individual line up with our team values and our overall style. He's been a part of a program that had a lot of success while he played an integral role and I believe that he will be able to bring those experiences to the bench with us. In our meetings I can tell that he is extremely passionate about coaching and will be able to play a role in every aspect of coaching while he's here."

"It's an amazing opportunity to be able to start my coaching career at Plymouth State University,” said Therrien. “I already know Coach Russell will be a great mentor for me the next two years. I can't wait to get to campus and get to know all the players as we work toward another MASCAC Championship."
