Title: Assistant Coach

            Brett Tryder is now is his seventh season as head coach of the Plymouth State men's ice hockey program.  Tryder is just the eighth head coach in the program's 39-year history.

            The Panthers have enjoyed success in the ECAC Northeast under Tryder, including two of the most successful campaigns in the program's history.  PSU hosted conference playoff games three straight years from 2005-07 after posting third or fourth place finishes among the 12 teams in the ECAC Northeast.  The 2005-06 team finished with an overall record of 16-9-1, registering the third-highest win total in the program's history.

            Tryder played collegiately at Salem State College in 1990-91, when the team won the ECAC East Championship and played in the NCAA Tournament.  He also skated for Fitchburg State College in 1995 on a Falcon team that advanced to the ECAC Northeast final.

            A native of Melrose, Mass., where he was a three-sport star at Melrose High School, Tryder participated in Hockey Night in Boston in 1989, where he broke the all-time single-season scoring record and was Tournament MVP.

            Tryder and his wife Gina have three children, Emma, Ian, and Isaac.
