PLYMOUTH, N.H. - A captain of the Plymouth State College men's lacrosse team has been selected to the U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Division III All-New England Team for the 1999 season.
Senior co-captain Nate Ostis (Yarmouth, ME) earned Honorable Mention on the USILA All-New England Team. Ostis was named to the Pilgrim League All-Northwest Division Team last month.
A 6'1", 195-pound midfielder, Ostis was one of PSC's most valuable players this season. A two-year co-captain, he played the point for the PSC offense, took and won many of the face-offs, and was a strong defensive force. Ostis was second on the team in shots on goal (89), and fourth on the squad in scoring with 39 points (29 goals, 10 assists). The four-year veteran finishes his 52-game career with 45 goals, 31 assists and 76 points.
PSC finished the regular season with a 4-1 divisional mark, earning a Pilgrim League play-off berth. The Panthers were eliminated in the semi-finals by Babson College, and finished with a 7-8 overall record.
