PSC Men's Lax player named to Senior All-Star Game
PLYMOUTH, N.H. - One of Plymouth State College's men's lacrosse players has been selected to play in the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association East-West Senior All-Star Game this Sunday (May 14th) at 3 p.m. at Bryant College in Smithfield, R.I.
Long-stick midfielder Pete Slaski (Bayville, New York) will join the West squad that will challenge the cream of the crop from the East. The prestigious game includes All-Star players from all three NCAA Divisions.
Slaski, a PSC co-captain, was a defensive rock for the Panthers in 2000 who also registered seven goals and five assists. A fifth year senior who sat out the 1998 campaign with injuries, he finished his PSC career with nine goals and 11 assists, helping PSC to a pair of Pilgrim League play-off berths.
Slaski was also named to the Pilgrim League All-Star Team last week. He notched solo goals this year against Maine Maritime, Salem State, Southampton and Saint Michael's, where he also assisted twice, and he notched a score in a 15-9 victory over Norwich University.
The Panther co-captain was instrumental in PSC reaching the Pilgrim League play-offs in 2000 and finishing with a 10-6 overall record and a 6-1 conference mark under first-year head coach Nate Ostis.
