JOHNSON, Vt. --The Plymouth State College men's Lacrosse team jumped out to a 10 goal first-quarter lead and never looked back Thursday afternoon, crushing the Johnson State College Badgers 16-2 on a snow-covered field.
Seniors Ken McGuire (Wayland, Mass.) and Jason Biedrzycki (Amherst, N.H.), sophomore John Gallagher (Forestdale, Mass.) and freshman Jon Gagnon (New Bedford, Masss.) all scored two goals for the Panthers. PSC had 12 different players score a goal during the contest.
Mike Bishop (Essex Jct., Vt.) scored Johnson State's only two goals. Kyle Coshow (Middle Haddam, Conn.) made 16 saves in net for Johnson. Johnson State falls to 1-6 on the season, while Plymouth improves to 5-7.
The Panther conclude the regular season this weekend with two Little East Conference contests -- Saturday at UMass Dartmouth (3 p.m.) and Sunday at home against archrival Keene State (2:00 p.m.).
