P.S.C. student-athletes earn ECAC All-New England honors
PLYMOUTH, N.H. - The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced its 2003 Division III New England All-Star teams, and six Plymouth State College student-athletes have been recognized for their performances this past spring.
Three members of the Panther women's lacrosse team were named ECAC All-New England - junior midfielder Katie Sheridan (West Sayville, N.Y.) and senior defender Beth Dooly (Goffstown, N.H.) on the First Team and junior midfielder Michelle Norton (Sandwich, Mass.) on the Second Team. All three were also voted First Team All-Little East Conference last month.
A pair of Panther softball players were honored with ECAC All-New England selections, both for the second year in a row - sophomore pitcher Kim Jeffs (Stoughton, Mass.) and senior catcher Adriene Harvey (Nantucket, Mass.). A two-time All-America, Jeffs was named to the ECAC First Team, while Harvey, a two-time All-New England pick, received Honorable Mention.
A PSC men's lacrosse player was also honored with an ECAC All-New England First Team selection - senior midfielder Ken McGuire (Wayland, Mass.). A four-year starter, McGuire was named First Team All-Little East Conference last month.
