PLYMOUTH, N.H. - Plymouth State College is looking for head coaches in the sports of softball and men's lacrosse after the recent resignations of Harry Blood and John Pynchon. Both coaches have resigned their part-time positions for personal reasons.
Blood steps down after three years as head coach of the Panther softball program. He guided the team to a 64-42-2 record, led the Panthers to the ECAC Tournament the past seasons, and won the ECAC title in 2003. He was named Northeast Coach of the Year in 2002. Pynchon turns over the reigns of the men's lacrosse program after one season in which he inherited a team that was 4-10 in 2002 and led it to a 5-10 record in his only campaign.
"We wish to thank both Coach Blood and Coach Pynchon for their service to Plymouth State College," said PSC athletic director John P. Clark. "They have both been very professional and dedicated coaches who gave all they could for their respective programs. We appreciate their efforts and wish them the best."
Clark indicated the search for new coaches begins immediately.
