PSU lacrosse players earn top Little East Conference weekly honors

PLYMOUTH, N.H. - Four Plymouth State University lacrosse players, one man and three women, were recognized by the Little East Conference Monday with Player of the Week selections after leading the Panther teams to perfect records last week.

Junior Adam Krinsky (Concord, N.H.) was named LEC Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week; seniors Annie Pinault (Framingham, Mass.) and Kelsey MacDonald (Oak Bluffs, Mass.) were selected LEC Women's Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively; and freshman Taylor Cambal (West Yarmouth, Mass./Tabor Academy) was chosen LEC Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week. Krinsky helped lead the Panther men's team to a 4-0 week, while the PSU women won all three of their outings last week, with both Plymouth State teams going 2-0 in conference play.

A junior attackman, Krinsky (left) recorded 11 points in four games on six goals and five assists. He registered one assist in Tuesday's 4-3 rainy-night win at Wentworth, added a goal and two assists in Thursday's 8-4 win at Nichols, scored two goals and one assist in Saturday's 11-5 LEC win over UMass Dartmouth and then completed the week with three goals and one assist in Sunday's 11-4 LEC win over Southern Maine. Krinsky leads the team in scoring with 14 goals, 25 assists and 39 points, ranking among the conference leaders in assists and points.

A senior attackwoman, Pinault (right) registered 17 points in three games on 14 goals and three assists. She scored four goals in Thursday's 15-9 non-conference win at Colby-Sawyer, added six goals in Saturday's 18-4 LEC win at UMass Dartmouth, and capped the week with four goals and two assists in PSU's 20-7 victory Sunday over Western Connecticut. The six goals in the LEC win over UMD was a career-high, and included career goal #100. She also collected eight draw controls and four ground balls for the week. Pinault has 42 goals, 16 assists and 58 points this spring, leading the LEC in assists and ranking in the top three in goals and points.

A senior midfielder, MacDonald (left) helped keep opponents at bay as the Panthers allowed only 20 goals in three games. She recorded 15 ground balls, 16 draw controls and 11 caused turnovers in the three wins, while also contributing four goals and three assists. She had five ground balls, five draw controls and two caused turnovers in Thursday's 15-9 non-conference win at Colby-Sawyer; added six ground balls, five draw controls and three caused turnovers in Saturday's 18-4 LEC win at UMass Dartmouth, and capped the week with four ground balls, six draw controls and six caused turnovers in PSU's 20-7 home opening victory Sunday over Western Connecticut. MacDonald leads the nation in draw controls (5.3 per game) and ranks among the conference leaders in goals (32) and points (44).

A freshman attackwoman, Cambal (right) scored five goals in three games to give her 17 on the season, sixth-most on the team. She scored two goals in both Thursday's 15-9 non-conference win at Colby-Sawyer and Saturday's 18-4 LEC win at UMass Dartmouth, and added one goal in PSU's 20-7 home opening victory Sunday over Western Connecticut.

The Panther lacrosse teams wrap up the regular season this week, with the LEC Tournaments slated to begin on Tuesday, May 1.
